Capitol Rockslide?

Post by Brian C »

Sorry if this has been posted already.

Heard through the grapevine that a friend of a friend was guiding some folks up Capitol last week and saw a massive rockslide. Apparently a huge chunk of rock came crashing down the mountain and the dust rolled over them as they were hiking up on summit day. Said it was huge.

Anybody heard of this?

Haven't heard about a rockslide on Capitol Peak, but I did see a huge rockslide on Missouri Mountain in August and have a photo posted at http://www.14ers.com/php14ers/triprepor ... m=tripuser. It was loud... definitely the biggest rockslide I've ever seen.
