I have some out of town guests including an 8 year old and intended to hike to Cub Lake at RMNP until I saw it might be closed. Can anyone confirm whether it is still closed?

What's a good alternative hike this time of year?

Awesome. That link led me to an update dated today saying Cub Lake trail is now open. That sort of contradicts another trail conditions report on their site. Thanks.
