Nolans14 FKT Attempt

Post by thebeave7 »

Well, with Homie very graciously bowing out today (sadden it didn't work out), I will do my best to pick up the torch. Tomorrow morning (8/31) around 6am I will be starting out from the Fish Hatchery just outside Leadville with an ultimate goal of summitting 14 sawatch 14ers enroute to the Blank Gulch TH in under 60hours (some time Sunday, FKT of 54:57). Here is a little info on the route...

Here is my SPOT, which will officially go live tomorrow morning with the auto-tracking function, hopefully providing 10min updates.

Hope everyone has a fantastic long weekend in the mountains.

Take some Advil PM and get 12 hours of sleep before you start. Good luck!

Good luck, Eric! Here's hoping for a new FKT. Alas, I will be in the mountains and unable to follow your quest, but I will look forward to seeing how it went. Godspeed!

Again, 14er information / conditions doesn't quite seem right (though I hope we do get a few conditions reports). Perhaps a new category should be created?

Also, good luck.
