Mike, thanks for posting the link to Sean's obituary (full link for all who are interested: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/chronline/obituary.aspx?n=sean-allen-wylam&pid=153018986)

It is beautifully written, and truly captures the depth and fullness of Sean's life (I'm still amazed that he hiked 8 miles at age 4!). For those of us who never got a chance to meet him, it's easy to sense a kindred spirit gone far too soon.

The obituary closes with a touching and classy request from the family, so I thought I would post that here in case some don't get a chance to read the entire thing: "In lieu of flowers, remembrances/donations may be made to the Aspen Mountain Search and Rescue, 630 W. Main St. Aspen CO 81611."

My thoughts are with you and all of Sean's family and friends.

Erik

That was beautifully written. Science, engineering, languages, music, and cooking, just to name a few of his passions/skills/accomplishments! I'm touched by what I've read. It sounds like he was a truly brilliant, talented man with a wonderful spirit. I really wish I could have known him.

Makes it all the more real. RIP.
