It's an easy hike down to the Iowa-Missouri saddle, then traverse to the pass trail. We didn't feel like backtracking and it's pretty nice back there. From the pass it's an easy hike to Belford. Found a perfect arrowhead at the saddle. What were they hunting at 13600'??

If you were in crazy good shape and had a blue bird day, you could start by doing Missouri's standard route, up Iowa, over to Emerald, down into the Missouri Basin, then back up to Elkhead Pass and up Bel/Ox. It would be a long day but it is certainly doable no doubt. My buddy and I did Missouri/Iowa/Emerald and over Elkhead Pass to finish last year - good times. If the weather was better we probably could have done Bel and Ox if we wanted. Trip report in my signature. Happy hiking and good luck!
