Missouri Mountain "C Couloir"

Postby LIV » Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:53 am

Does anyone know the conditions presently of the "C Couloir" on Missouri Mountain? I'm thinking of doing that on Friday.

Hey can you tell me the approximate maximum slope degree on this one?

Using Nat Geo TOPO to read the slope, it says the steepest part is an 83% slope (approximately 40 degrees). There definitely room for error using that program to measure slope though as the slope angle must be sustained for at least 40 vertical feet to be measured.

***edited to correct degrees***

Equation is ATAN(s)*180/pi where s is the percent slope in decimal format. Feel free to correct me on this one, it's been a while since I took Algebra.

Thanks -- that is correct and about what I thought it would be.
