No reports from the last couple of days, but this is a great source (5/25): http://climbinglife.com/current-rmnp-conditions/current-rmnp-conditions/current-conditions-may-25th.html

The trail conditions is toward the bottom. There's nothing on Chasm Lake yet, but when I spoke to the backcountry office yesterday, they are still recommending shoeshoes for areas above 10,500 feet. I'm attempting to get up to the Lion Lakes tomorrow (taking shoeshoes). They've asked me to call back and report trail conditions.

I did Lady Washington yesterday. If you start early don't bring snowshoes. I saw plenty of people heading up before noon, not one had snowshoes. I brought a pair and never used them because I didn't know what to expect, but I did get a better workout- and a better nap on the summit!

We climbed Long's yesterday via the North face and descended the Keyhole route. There is plenty of snow on the trail up to the Boulderfield but we didn't need snowshoes. A little postholing but not bad.
