Access to Trailheads

Postby Bigmatt » Sun Apr 22, 2007 2:43 pm

Which trailheads are most easily accessed from a marked road in a standard vehicle? I am planning to stay in town, then drive to the trailhead in the early morning (meaning in the dark). I have several peaks in mind, some around Leadville, others in the vicinity of Ouray, and some closer to Buena Vista. I was hoping that some of you hikers who have been around these areas for awhile might know of some trailheads with relative easy access. Thanks for any suggestions and advice.
