See here:

Shot on location in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, “The Climb” combines beautiful scenery with a compelling plot.

Strangely, I know the Wasatch well and don't recognise the mountain in the photo above?

It looks vaguely like the Pfeifferhorn, but I've never seen an agle that looks like the above.

Pfeifferhorn from the north:

Still, I don't recognise it. Is it possible that it was filmed in more than one location?

Looks pretty hardcore to be a Wasatch mountain.

Although I don't reconise it, not if it were filmed in spring or winter. They are pretty hard core then, so still possible. Anyway, some Wasatch photos winter/spring photos (though none match):

The Wasatch aren't that high above timberline (1700 feet or so), so it does seem like your photo is out of place. :?: I don't think it is from there, but I guess its possible.

Got any more still photos from the movie? (Hurry fast, my lunch break isn't that long :D ).

No clue, but I don't think the summit shot is from the Wasatch. I would have regognised the peaks. :?: Unless I'm off base, they probably filmed parts of it somewhere else, at least near the "summit"? :-k

Lunch break over soon, so maybe ask at Summitpost.

And another of Chicanagua, and its northwest ridge (according to the climbers ogling the poster):

I do recognise that one. :D It's the Pfeifferhorn taken from just north and belowthe East Ridge.

See here and match (directly from the ridge):

See right side (this one is take fartehr east than yours, but you can see the profile):

One more:

Still, in the movie, I believe they took the "summit footage" from somewhere else.

So do you think my first image is also the Pfeifferhorn?

It's shaped similar, but looks too big and the surrounding ridges don't quite look right, so probably not? Anyway, here are some photos of the Pfeifferhorn:

I would bet like the "summit photo", it was shot somewhere else. After all, since the Wasatch is right next to the city, they probably didn't want a sprawling urban area in the background, so used other footage

How tricky films can be! :o Good work!
I get acute mountain sickness when I am away from the mountains.
