I hope the color of this post describes my feelings about your trip. Maybe it's because I'm Norwegian - although not related to Amundsen as far as I know - but I have always felt drawn to Antarctica. Even tried to get stationed @ McMurdo when I was in the Navy - they sent me to Nam instead.. Damn Navy.....
I am SO jealous! Have a GREAT time and I can't wait to read your report (let Kristine write it, OK? 
)

I am doing a hut trip that weekend, so it will prevent me from being at the saloon. But best wishes on the successful summit bids to both of you! This should be an amazing journey.

My company Christmas party is the same night... in Pennsylvania. I think my invite got lost in the mail.
I'll know better after turkeyday, but it would be great to drop in and see you both off on this journey.
