2015 spring/summer <12K ft. goals
*shrug* - Figure another thread isn't gonna hurt anyone. Plus, I wanna spray too...
Got two trips to the North Cascades planned (hooray!!!) - a hopeful couple of ski descents in June and a "little" traverse in August.
Anyone else shirking altitude-myopia for aesthetic routes at lower elevations?

Which traverse? Pickets?Got two trips to the North Cascades planned (hooray!!!) - a hopeful couple of ski descents in June and a "little" traverse in August.
I hope to get some desert stuff done before it gets to hot. Whatever I can find partners for and whatever isn't too hard for my ability.Anyone else shirking altitude-myopia for aesthetic routes at lower elevations?
Now we have a thread on <1K, 13ers, and 14ers, but the poor 10,000' to 12999' peaks are being left out.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

I am hoping to climb Broken Top or Thielson in Oregon.

Thielsen is a blast. You should do Mt. Washington too.DoctorBreaks wrote:I am hoping to climb Broken Top or Thielson in Oregon.

I was thinking of flying into Eugene and spending a three day weekend out there. Wow after reading about Washington it looks like an awesome time! I'll have to put it on my list as well. TBH I dream more about climbing in other states than CO/Canada more than I do about my Colorado climbs. Sinopah Mountain in MT is on my list with a lot of others near Glacier. So many mountains, not nearly enough time.Dave B wrote:Thielsen is a blast. You should do Mt. Washington too.DoctorBreaks wrote:I am hoping to climb Broken Top or Thielson in Oregon.

1- Finish the Indian Peaks Wilderness. (Finally.) Luckily, I have mainly the "easier" accessible east peaks left...so hopefully won't be too tough to finish up.
2- I would also say to finish the Lost Creek Wilderness with the last 3-4 I have left, but those last two Goose Creek 9ers will be tough.
3- Take my daughter on her first 11K+ peak. (She's only 2 1/2....aiming low.)

Re: 2015 spring/summer <12K ft. goals
Boulder's Green Mountain x 100. I'm at 26 or so for the year. I think Cordis is around 40-mumble. Helps the trail head is outside my door. Does not help that it's quite a slog. The trench helps. Which reminds me, I better finish up at $WORK and get going...

Depends on how long you waited after pigging out at Shoneys. I'm guessing mt Collins and Mt Love are somewhere near the Smokeys?dpage wrote:Clingman's Dome, Mt Collins and Mt Love...wish me luck. I'm sure these will take all I have
I'll be happy with any new Ultra prominence peak I happen to come across this spring/summer
