Thanks so much Scott. Your trip reports are invaluable. Maybe that's just what we need.... a road trip!

I have noticed that scrambling is a whole different ball of wax. Samantha loves it, and the little one follows her...any time they can get their feet on rock they get stoked.

thanks!

If I ever have kids, this is the kind of stuff I hope they'll want to do with me! Very cool Scott & Kessler! Does he know he's a super-star here?? 8)

Scott - care to trade?? I have a 15 1/2 year old that likes anything that has nothing to do with the outdoors!! You can have the "thrill" of teaching him how to drive!! Thanks!

The detailed trip report I prmosed is (finally) finished:

Anyway, Kessler recently completed the entire route through Courthouse Wash in Arches National Park. 14 miles in a day. I assume in a couple years he will put his Dad to shame and I'll be emabarrassed or feel old not being able to keep up with my little kid.

If you are still in Craig when he is in high school make sure he continues the Moffat County tradition of outstanding cross country runners. Looks like a future long distance champ from Moffat County to me.

Go Kessler!

Wow Scott, you have a great kid there! And it's so great to see a child so interested in the outdoors rather than Invader Zim and XBox (*though those ARE great as well*)
Kudos to you for cultivating the natural desire to "climb anything and everything" with Kessler.
Those memories will be so much more precious to you and your family than many others that we make.
Take care!

What should scare you is how he'll drive when you aren't in the car. I have a friends who drive like psychos but got good cars by impressing their parents when they were learning. I'll bet he'll be a good driver, though. Kudos to Kessler. :D You're kid's a beast, Scott.

I wish my little brother liked the outdoors as much as Kessler seems to. My brother is scared of snow
