I've done the C2C and wanted to add the third C, but my buddy opted us for the tram (he paid for me). You have to get a ride back to your car if you do that. We met a good guy for San Diego who was kind enough to drive us back. Definitley do this hike when it's cooler and wear sunblock. There is little relief from the sun the first 12 miles (though you'll be in the dark for the first few, early start a must). And you're hiking straight up to boot. I remember we had some minor route finding issues. Seems like little trails crisscrossed all over that ridge.
And to the other threadsters, I'm taking ocean to the top of Mount St. Elias. I think some guys skiied from the summit to the sea in a movie of the same name.
