Wind River range ski huts

In Colorado we are very fortunate to have multiple networks of backcountry ski cabins (10th Mountain, Never Summer, San Juan, etc), does anyone know of any similar backcountry ski huts in Wyoming? specifically the Wind River range? With so much snow, longish approaches, and great terrain it seems like Winds would have some although I have been unable to find anything online.

Most of the core of the Wind River Range, minus the Indian Reservation, is a wilderness area and thus there are no huts anywhere remotely close to the high peaks. New huts are never constructed in wilderness areas throughout the country, but a few do exist that pre-date the wilderness designation (such as the Emerald Lake Hut on Mt Timpanogos in Utah).

Wyoming does have a few huts, but I don't know of any in the Wind Rivers. There are huts around Jackson Wyoming, for example.

there are no huts, or anything of that sort in the wind river range. so if you want to go ski touring, you'll be packing in your shelter. the winds are awesome, although I've never been during the winter.

Zach, assuming you know but you can research the winds on Steve Romeo's old site Teton AT. Alex
