Coming as a flatlander, I did a lot of 3/4 scrambles and climbs here in OK. Then got a trip put together to do Kelso Ridge on Torreys. I think that's a great starting point for a fun route with Class 3 climbing and some real exposure in spots. But it's solid rock. Turned out to be pure fun and not scary at all. I'd also echo the sentiment of getting some rock climbing in, even if it's at a gym.
Because life's too short to be an indoor cat.
