Right you are! There are all kinds of monkey parts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
It looks like the ridge is just right up there!

Up in the UP, there is Gay, MI. Very small town, but it does have a bar. If you guess the name of the bar you win :)

I've been to that "Gay" bar on the Keweenaw. Not as much leather as in the Boston Ramrod I used to live next to.

Can someone please explain or hypothesize how such an intriguing part of the anatomy obtained such a crude colloquial identity?

Along those lines...my hometown was originally known by the following areas: Big Lick, Long Lick and Short Lick. Now we just call it Roanoke.
