Way to go dad!

I can't remember how young I was when I was put in a pack, but hiking and being in the mountains has been in our family for my whole life. A few years ago I got the bug to climb all of the 14ers and we have been helping each other with this goal. Luckily, I have been able to keep up with him. My dad and I have crossed paths with many of you on this website so hopefully you will recognize his picture although he is usually the guy zooming by. A special thanks to Peter, Zach, Tyler and Jayson who were on peaks with him when I could not be. Hopefully, everyone else out there is as lucky as I have been to spend time in the mountains doing something with my family that we all enjoy.

Cheers and climb on!

Congratulations! Wow. I thought it was hard enough in my mid-20s...

"There have been joys too great to describe in words, and there have been griefs upon which I cannot dare to dwell; and with those in mind I say, 'Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper

Way to go! Always awesome to see a finisher and great to see people scrambling in their sixties.

Awesome!!! So cool to hear. Im going to use this as leverage to get my dad out there on some 14ers who is in his early 60s and trying to use the "I'm to old" excuse.

Congratulations! I hope I'm still hiking & climbing peaks when I'm 68! You're an inspiration.
